About
Street Health is excited to be hosting our next in-person clinic! This clinic will be working to provide free medical care and other services to the homeless community of Norfolk and will be held at Freemason Street Baptist Church. We are grateful for any time you can volunteer to help us care for those in need. There are a number of positions we will need filled:
--Senior Clinician (M3/M4/MPA '22)
--Scribe (any year)
--Front Desk (patient intake)
--Vitals/Labs (blood pressure, temperature, POC labs, etc-- will get trained before clinic)
--Supplies Coordinator (distributing supplies to the medical team)
--Care Package Distributor (providing premade care packages to community members)
--Referrals
--Medicaid/SNAPs screening
--Food servers (helping provide a breakfast from Panera to our guests)

Further details regarding any necessary protocols for fulfilling your role will be provided via email for those who have registered. Please contact Mary Anand (anandmr@evms.edu) if you have any questions, or if you would need help with transportation to the clinic. We will be using the EVMS CEL van for supply transportation.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
