About
The event will have two components: A clinic at the community site and walking rounds**.
** Walking rounds currently suspended **
The clinic will be a small and limited clinic with basic screenings (blood pressure, glucose, weight, height), first aid, over-the-counter medication, prescription renewals, and referrals to other physicians as needed.
Walking rounds will offer the same services, but the patients will be found and offered care on the street. During this portion we will walk to a few predetermined locations that are known to have an increased volume of people experiencing homelessness. They are all within a mile of the clinic site.
There is no dress code, but volunteers typically wear scrubs or clothes that say EVMS.
Please bring your laptop if possible!
We will start with walking rounds (~20 minutes) before beginning clinic at New Hope Christian Community Center.
